Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound examinations, with emphasis on adult echocardiography in the echo lab; ensure high-quality images for interpretation
  • Obtain, analyze, and document ultrasound findings; operate ultrasound equipment and adjust protocols as needed
  • Manage patient positioning, safety, and infection control; adhere to established protocols and privacy standards
  • Input and archive images and reports in EPIC EMR; communicate results to referring clinicians in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cardiology and radiology teams; participate in patient care across IP, OP, and ICU settings
  • May float to an outpatient facility; some on-call coverage may be required
Requirements
  • Certification: ARDCS (ARDMS or CCI) in echocardiography or equivalent
  • BLS from American Heart Association
  • EKG recognition required
  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience
  • EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
  • Ability to work in an adult echo lab and adapt to a potential outpatient facility environment
  • Reliable transportation required; public transit is not accessible in the area
  • Existing licensure/credentialing as applicable to ultrasound practice
