Salary Range: $20.00 To $28.00 Hourly

Location: Somerset County, New Jersey 08807
Client: 10-year-old female student
Schedule: Approximately 16.5 hours per week

  • Monday and Wednesday: 1:30 PM– 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 4:30 PM– 7:00 PM

Achievement Behavior Services (ABS) is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency founded in 2015. ABS is owned and led by experienced professionals with BCBA and LCSW credentials. As a network of special education providers committed to high standards, we have a successful history of supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families.

We connect students with direct, in-home and community-based ABA therapeutic services. Using the principles and practices of ABA, we help students strengthen their communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Behavior Technician to work consistently with a 10-year-old female student in Somerset County, New Jersey. This is a part-time position with a regular weekly afternoon and evening schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized ABA therapy in accordance with the student’s treatment plan and behavioral goals
  • Observe student behavior and apply evidence-based ABA principles
  • Implement behavioral intervention and redirection techniques
  • Respond appropriately to behavioral and developmental challenges
  • Build a positive, supportive, and engaging relationship with the student
  • Collect accurate behavioral data during each session
  • Complete timely and detailed daily session notes
  • Recognize and document meaningful improvements in the student’s behavior and skills
  • Communicate respectfully and consistently with caregivers, supervisors, students, and other team members
  • Seek clinical guidance from the supervising BCBA when additional support is needed
  • Receive and provide feedback with a professional and collaborative attitude
  • Maintain punctuality, responsiveness, and a consistent weekly commitment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education or coursework in applied behavior analysis, psychology, education, special education, social work, or a related field
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board preferred
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism or other developmental and behavioral needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience collecting data and documenting progress toward individualized treatment goals
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Compassionate, intuitive, engaging, and person-centered approach
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to the client’s location
  • Ability to satisfy applicable New Jersey background-check and employment requirements

As a Special Education Behavior Technician with Achievement Behavior Services, you will receive guidance from a board-certified behavior analyst who will supervise your work and train you to implement an individualized treatment plan. You will work independently with the student during scheduled sessions while collecting data and completing required documentation.
