Medical Science Liaison – Rare Immunology (Field-based)
Territory: PA, OH, MI, NYC, NJ, and DE (must reside in territory). Reports to Director, Field Medical.
Responsibilities / How you will contribute:- Perform externally focused KOL/HCP activities (minimum 80% of responsibilities).
- Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs aligned to territory medical strategy.
- Apply advanced disease/product knowledge; analyze and disseminate complex scientific information to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced, non-misleading manner.
- Support Takeda-sponsored research; assist with facilitation of strategically aligned medical collaborative studies and investigator-initiated research.
- Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights from KOLs/HCPs to inform medical strategies/tactics.
- Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
- Execute medical strategy at medical conferences and communicate insights from posters/sessions and KOL/HCP interactions.
- Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries referred by Medical Information within defined timelines and quality standards.
- Complete customer activity documentation (e.g., CRM, insights capture), training, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities accurately and compliantly.
- Master’s degree in health sciences (MSN, NP, or PA) minimum.
- Doctoral degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent) preferred.
- 0–2 years healthcare/related experience post-degree (managed markets, clinical practice, research, or academic).
- Excellent written/verbal communication, organization, and collaboration.
- Dissemination of complex scientific data; therapeutic area expertise.
- Clinical/research/teaching experience.
- Ability to work in virtual and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to execute within legal/regulatory/compliance requirements.
- Use of digital tools, including AI, to improve productivity.
Up to 70% travel, including some overnight/weekends; ability to drive/fly; clean valid driver’s license.
