Pharmacy Technician & Driver

Job Summary

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician & Driver to join our team at Star Pharmacy
! As a Pharmacy Technician, you will receive incoming prescriptions, verify accuracy, and input that information into our system. You'll also accept payments for prescriptions, manage inventory, and answer customer questions. As a driver, you will pick up and deliver medications within your designated area to patients and providers.

• Receive written and faxed prescriptions from patients and doctors’ offices, verify accuracy, and enter them into the system.
• Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications.
• Receive and log incoming inventory into the system, and put items away as needed.
• Maintain pharmacy records, including patient profiles and inventory logs.
• Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions.
• Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring to pharmacy staff as necessary.
• Pick up from Edison, NJ and drive to the Newark, NJ area daily.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities.
• Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired.
• Spanish speaking highly preferred.

• Full time
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend availability preferred.

• $17–$25 per hour, based on experience.

• $0.70 per mile for gas.
• Wear & tear allowance.
