Global Payroll Specialist
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Global Payroll professional to manage and support domestic and international payroll operations in a highly confidential, detail-driven environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing while partnering closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, and external payroll vendors across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
Process and oversee U.S. payroll with a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Support and serve as backup for global payroll processing, coordinating with international payroll vendors to ensure country-specific compliance and accurate reporting
Review and process complex payroll transactions including bonuses, commissions, retroactive pay, severance, vacation payouts, referrals, and differentials
Ensure accurate tax with holdings, benefit deductions, wage garnishments, and payroll adjustments
Act as a payroll systems subject matter expert, supporting time and attendance, payroll, and retirement plan systems
Reconcile payroll-related accounts and quarterly reports; support accounting with reconciliations and audit requests
Process benefit-related payroll activities including 401(k), defined contribution plans, loan repayments, and wire transfers
Partner with Benefits and HR on employee leaves of absence, ensuring accurate payroll and accrual calculations
Support retirement plan reporting and projections for senior leadership and highly compensated employees
Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and global vendor transitions
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across payroll operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; coursework in Accounting preferred
6–10 years of experience in global payroll, including both U.S. and international payroll processing
Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, benefits deductions, and retirement plans
Experience working with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, global payroll vendors, time & attendance systems)
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive information
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

Travel:
Approximately 5–10% domestic
