Benefits Coordinator
The Benefits Coordinator supports the Office of Human Resources by helping administer the College's benefits programs for all faculty and staff.
Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree;
- Two (2) years of human resources experience with strong responsibilities related to employee benefits administration; and
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Experience working with the State of New Jersey benefits system or knowledge of NJ State benefits
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now;
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, and compliance topics;
- Excellent customer service, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills;
- CEBS, PHR, SPHR, or SHRM certification; and
- Experience working in a Human Resources area in higher education.
Physical Requirements:
- The work is light work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:
- Hearing:
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound. - Hearing 2:

Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including the ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately and concisely. - Talking:
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. - Visual Acuity:
Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and/or extensive reading.

Full-time, twelve (12)-month position Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
