Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled AWS Engineer to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are scalable, resilient, and secure. You will work closely with development and Dev Ops teams to automate deployments, optimize cloud costs, and maintain high availability across all environments.
Key Responsibilities- Infrastructure Design:
Architect and deploy scalable, high‑availability, and fault‑tolerant systems on AWS. - Automation & IaC:
Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation to automate resource provisioning. - CI/CD Integration:
Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines to support seamless software delivery. - Monitoring & Optimization:
Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Cloud Watch, Prometheus) to ensure system health and optimize performance. - Cost Management:
Monitor cloud spend and implement cost‑saving strategies like Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and resource right‑sizing. - Disaster Recovery:
Design and test backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
- AWS Core Services:
Deep expertise in EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, Route 53, and IAM. - Containerization:
Experience with orchestration platforms like Amazon ECS or EKS (Kubernetes). - Scripting:
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go) for automation tasks. - Networking:
Strong understanding of cloud networking (Subnets, VPNs, Direct Connect, Load Balancers). - Database Management:
Familiarity with SQL and No
SQL databases (Aurora, Dynamo
DB, Mongo
DB).
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
5+ years of experience managing production workloads in AWS.
Certifications
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator.
Methodology
Strong understanding of Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
Preferred Nice‑to‑have Skills- Experience with multi‑cloud environments (Azure or GCP).
- Knowledge of serverless architecture and event‑driven design.
- Familiarity with third‑party monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
- Big‑4 or top tier Professional Services experience is a plus.
