The Applications Analyst III gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications and build to ensure that developed information technology solutions support business objectives. This level works with little or no supervision and acts as a resource for lower level Application Analysts.

This position is mostly remote and will require you to be in the Edison, NJ Office every Tuesday.

Responsibilities
  • Share knowledge with and mentor lower level Application Analysts.
  • Install/upgrade new or existing applications and components, configure settings, and validate work performed by lower level analysts.
  • Assist in coordinating end user support activities.
  • Attend, participate in, and contribute to IT department meetings; coordinate and run meetings within the IT department.
  • Provide go-live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Oversee and/or analyze necessary application modifications and coordinate with IT staff and/or vendors.
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements; interpret end user requirements and help clients move toward optimal solutions.
  • Evaluate operational workflows related to the system; create system specifications from user requirements.
  • Create test plans and test new systems, upgrades, and modifications; document outcomes and review test plans for consistency.
  • Responsible for application implementation, troubleshooting, and support; present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
  • Address complex issues and refer only the most complex items to higher-level staff.
  • Update system, operational, and department documentation; identify areas for process improvements.
  • Provide on-call support for applications; input into policy and procedure redesign; function as a preceptor for new staff.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Physical requirements:

    lifts a minimum of 20 lbs., pushes/pulls a minimum of 20 lbs., stands a minimum of 4 hours per day.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of IT experience (preferably in healthcare) OR 2 years IT experience and 2 years clinical experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter; ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong desktop skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
  • Effective oral and written communication; ability to create and maintain clear documentation.
  • Collaborative, self-directed, and capable of cross-team collaboration.

Skills And Abilities

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree.
Licenses And Certifications Required
  • Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or applicable relevant application experience.
  • Epic HIM certification and 3M certification are required.

Compensation

Minimum rate of $95,555.20 annually. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members. The posted rate of pay is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting and does not reflect the full value of our market-competitive total rewards package.

Some jobs may be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or shift differentials. In addition to compensation, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
