Hybrid Role – Edison, NJ
The role requires prior experience in a hospital system. Our healthcare client is looking for a Contracts Administrator to serve as a strategic business partner to Health Applications leadership, driving vendor management and commercial governance for a portfolio of health applications vendors, including EHR (Epic preferred), integrated clinical applications, interoperability‑related services, and managed application services providers.
Key Responsibilities- Structure, negotiate, and manage contract vehicles including MSAs, SOWs, order forms, amendments, and BAAs, ensuring appropriate protections for healthcare compliance (HIPAA/HITECH), data privacy and security requirements, and clear downstream vendor obligations (including flow‑down terms for subcontractors).
- Lead vendor engagement strategy and planning for new initiatives and expansions, translating business and clinical goals into clear scopes, deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria, and operating governance.
- Coordinate and facilitate RF(x) sourcing events, vendor selection activities, and negotiation cycles in collaboration with IT leadership and Strategic Sourcing.
- Support contracting and negotiation efforts for EHR modules, professional services SOWs (implementation, optimization, upgrades), and application managed support engagements, ensuring commercial clarity, pricing transparency, and risk‑appropriate terms.
- Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to align vendor deliverables to clinical workflows and operational readiness, supporting upgrade planning, go‑live execution, hypercare support, and stabilization activities.
- Establish and operationalize vendor performance management frameworks, including SLAs (availability, response, resolution), escalation paths, service reporting requirements, issue triage models, and KPI scorecards.
- Drive vendor accountability through recurring operating cadences (weekly checkpoints, monthly reviews, QBRs), ensuring issues are surfaced early and remediated with documented corrective action plans.
- Coordinate cross‑functional alignment with Clinical Leadership, HIM, Privacy, Security, and Legal for matters related to interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR), data exchange, security controls, audit readiness, and compliance obligations.
- Build and maintain executive‑ready reporting on vendor performance, risk, renewal timelines, financial stewardship, and value realization; develop dashboards and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost and risk through vendor rationalization, contract optimization, rate‑card governance, improved commercial terms, and standardization of vendor engagement models.
- Maintain templates, playbooks, and operating procedures that improve consistency, reduce cycle time, and strengthen governance across Health Applications vendor engagements.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edison, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
