EDI B2B integration architect

Job Description

This role requires deep expertise in EDI and B2B integration, including X12, EDIFACT, VDA/GS1, and related protocols and platforms. The candidate will design and maintain secure, reliable, and compliant data exchanges with partners.

• Deep experience in X12 (850/855/856/810/820/940/945/997), EDIFACT (ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC, CONTRL), VDA/GS1.
• Protocols: AS2/AS4, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS; envelopes, acks (997/CONTRL), MDNs, batch vs real time.
• Mapping/translation, validations, idempotency, retries, back pressure, exception handling.

• At least two of: IBM Sterling, SEEBURGER BIS, Axway, Boomi EDI, web Methods B2B/TN, Open Text GXS, TLE/other translators.
• Experience with partner/VAN ecosystems and certificate/key management.

• AWS/Azure/GCP primitives, VPC design, private connectivity, secrets/KMS/Key Vault;
  Docker/Kubernetes for B2B runtimes.

• OAuth2/OIDC/JWT for B2B APIs; mTLS; PCI/GDPR awareness; auditability and non‑repudiation guarantee.

• Executive communication, stakeholder alignment, negotiation of trade‑offs, mentoring, clear documentation.

$140,000‑$160,000 per year.
