IT Application Analyst III - Cardiovascular Service Line

Role Overview

The Applications Analyst III gathers business requirements, conducts needs assessments, and develops functional specifications and builds to ensure that developed IT solutions support business objectives. This role works with minimal supervision and serves as a resource for lower‑level Application Analysts.

This position is hybrid. Epic Cupid certification is required. Experience with GE Muse and GE Mac Lab is desired.

• Effectively share knowledge with and mentor lower‑level Application Analysts.
• Install/upgrade new or existing applications and components, configure application settings, and validate work performed by lower‑level Application Analysts.
• Assist in the coordination of end‑user support activities.
• Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility; coordinate and coordinate meetings within the IT department.
• Provide go‑live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
• Oversee and/or perform analysis of necessary application modifications and work with IT associates or vendors to coordinate the modification.
• Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
• Interpret end‑user requirements by discussing potential options and helping clients move toward optimal solutions.
• Evaluate the operational workflow applied to the system.
• Create system specifications from user requirements.
• Develop test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and system modifications.
• Document all outcomes of testing; review lower‑level Application Analyst test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness.
• Manage application implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
• Present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
• Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex issues to higher‑level staff.
• Update system, operational, and departmental documentation.
• Recommend areas for process improvements.
• Provide on‑call support for applications.
• Offer input into policy and procedure redesign.
• Act as a preceptor for new staff in the department.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
• Lift a minimum of 20 lbs.; push and pull a minimum of 20 lbs.; stand a minimum of 4 hours a day.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of IT experience preferably in healthcare or related field, or 2 years of IT experience and 2 years of clinical experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time with little or no supervision.
• Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to create and maintain clear, concise documentation.
• Collaboration with other team members across the department.
• Demonstration of self‑direction.

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or relevant application experience.
