Role OverviewThe FDSE partners with enterprise clients to design, architect, and deliver native Salesforce solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You’ll work directly with C‑suite and technical stakeholders, make high‑stakes decisions under uncertainty, and own client success across discovery, design, delivery, and adoption phases. This role balances technical depth with business acumen and stakeholder leadership. You’ll spend approximately: 50% designing solutions and solving technical problems, 30% communicating strategy and managing stakeholders, and 20% ensuring adoption and measuring outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct deep‑dive discovery with executive business and IT stakeholders to uncover real pain points, and quantify business impact, cost savings, revenue uplift, and risk reduction.
- Translate business problems into technical requirements while navigating organizational politics, budgets, and approval chains.
- Build trust with skeptics (CFO, CIO, compliance) by addressing their specific concerns and acknowledging constraints.
- Navigate competing stakeholder interests and drive alignment toward a unified solution vision.
- Design end‑to‑end solutions across Salesforce clouds:
Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Cloud integration platforms. - Make disciplined trade‑offs between speed, quality, cost, and scope while protecting MVP scope against scope creep; own data architecture decisions, data models, identity resolution, data quality gates, integration patterns, and security‑compliance implications.
- Design phased roadmaps with clear gating criteria, risk mitigations, and stakeholder checkpoints; identify expansion opportunities and position multi‑year strategic roadmaps for upsell and client value growth.
- Lead delivery teams (engineers, data engineers, admins) through design, build, test, and launch phases.
- Make high‑stakes decisions with incomplete information, data quality gaps, external dependencies, resource constraints, and stakeholder changes.
- Identify technical risks early, propose concrete mitigations, establish gating criteria, and escape appropriate.
- Drive user adoption by designing embedded experiences, measuring KPIs, iterating on feedback, and building stakeholder confidence.
- Present technical strategy to non‑technical audiences; translate ROI impact for different stakeholders (CFO, CIO, sales leader, etc.).
- Deliver status updates, escalation memos, and risk communications with clarity and executive presence.
- Listen deeply to stakeholder feedback and adapt approach without defensiveness.
- Mentor junior engineers and model technical excellence, decision‑making discipline, and customer obsession.
- 10 years of hands‑on Salesforce experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Data Cloud.
- Experience shipping features, configuring data models, integrating external systems, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Deep expertise in at least two of the following:
Sales Cloud architecture, Service Cloud configuration, Marketing Cloud engagement, or Engagement solutions. - Proficiency with SQL and data modeling; comfortable with APIs, API‑first architecture; able to design pseudocode or explain data pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, databases, identity management, and compliance frameworks; comfortable asking smart questions about adjacent technologies, AI/ML, security, and governance.
