Agile Project Manager

Hiring ASAP in Edison, NJ. Insurance experience preferred;
Azure Dev Ops highly desired. Strong product development experience required. This is a hybrid contract role for candidates local to Edison, NJ, NYC or Hartford, CT.

• Lead, coach, and support multiple Agile Scrum teams on complex initiatives, including internal & external (onshore/offshore) resources.
• Manage product delivery and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, cross‑team coordination).
• Identify and resolve delivery impediments, escalating unresolved issues to senior leadership.
• Manage risks, issues, and promote continuous improvement through retrospectives.
• Guide team members in achieving maturity in Agile principles and Scrum practices, driving consistent velocity gains.
• Monitor team health and project needs proactively.
• Serve as an Agile subject‑matter expert, mentor junior Scrum Masters, and advocate adoption of new tools/processes.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner on backlog management, prioritization, and metrics.
• Build a trusting and safe environment; coordinate interactions within and outside the Scrum team.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and promote quality delivery practices with transparency around progress, quality, and schedule.

• Prior experience as a Scrum Master using Agile Scrum methodology.
• Servant‑leader coaching and mentoring skills with ability to facilitate without dictating tasks.
• Experience with enterprise software delivery using Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent personal organization and experience with Jira.
• Proven track record applying application development best practices (automation, CI/CD).
• Proficiency in Jira Align; ability to connect strategy to execution and visualize dependencies across ARTs.
• AI & tooling awareness:
  Applied AI literacy, familiarity with AI‑enhanced platforms (e.g., Jira Automation, Git Hub Copilot). Ability to leverage AI for sprint planning, backlog grooming, reporting.
• Data‑informed decision making: interpret AI‑generated insights and translate into actionable guidance.
• Change enablement: coach teams through AI‑driven practice adoption, including ethical considerations.

Contract position based out of Edison, NJ.

Pay range: $70.00 – $80.00/hr.
