Applications Analyst II – Hackensack Meridian Health

Hackensack Meridian Health helps patients live better, healthier lives and supports teamwork and community. The position transforms information technology solutions to support business objectives. This level works with minimal supervision and serves as a resource for Applications Analyst I.

We are looking for experience with Epic Willow Ambulatory as an IT analyst or clinical experience in the Retail Pharmacy space. The hours are Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm and this is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively share knowledge with and mentor Applications Analyst I.
  • Install/upgrade new or existing applications and components, configure settings, and validate work performed by Application Analyst I.
  • Assist in coordinating end‑user support activities.
  • Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility.
  • Provide go‑live support for users on new applications, modules, and functionality.
  • Oversee or perform analysis of necessary application modifications and coordinate with IT associates and/or vendor.
  • Analyze business/clinical needs and requirements.
  • Interpret end‑user requirements by discussing options and helping clients move toward optimal solutions.
  • Evaluate the operational workflow applied to the system.
  • Create system specifications from user requirements.
  • Create test plans and test new systems, version upgrades, and any system modifications.
  • Document all outcomes of testing. Review Application Analyst I’s test plans and documented outcomes for consistency and thoroughness.
  • Be responsible for application implementation, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Present oral and written communications to project teams and other departments.
  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher level staff.
  • Update system, operational, and departmental documentation.
  • Recommend areas for process improvements.
  • Provide on‑call support for applications.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Lift a minimum of 20 lbs, push and pull a minimum of 20 lbs, and stand a minimum of 4 hours a day.
  • Adhere to the Medical Centers Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT experience and/or 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
  • Works independently and effectively manages time with minimal supervision.
  • Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.
  • Collaborates with other team members across the department.
  • Demonstrates self‑direction.
Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Healthcare experience or related field.
Licenses and Certifications Required
  • Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or relevant application experience.

In addition to our compensation for full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours a week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.

Minimum rate of $83,782.40 annually.
