Business Analyst (BA) Job Description
Position: Junior / Mid-Level Business Analyst
Employment Type: W2 Contract / Full-Time
Location: New Jersey (Hybrid / Onsite)
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Work with clients and stakeholders to understand project needs
- Create BRD, FRD, user stories, and functional documentation
- Analyze data and prepare reports for business decisions
- Coordinate with development and QA teams during project lifecycle
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and requirement discussions
- Perform gap analysis and process improvement activities
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validation processes
- Maintain project documentation and status reports
- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with tools like MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, JIRA, and SQL
- Ability to gather and interpret data effectively
- Team collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Attention to detail and documentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in any field (IT/Business preferred)
- Career gap candidates can also apply
- Prior experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, or IT background is a plus
- Basic knowledge of SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel reporting
- Understanding of business processes and workflow analysis
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environment
