Sr. SAS Applications Developer

Responsibilities

• Regulatory reporting – design, programming, documenting, automation, and maintenance of reporting solutions.
• Technological analysis, design and programming of tools.
• Deep dive data analysis into current applications to resolve discrepancies and propose designs for the project.
• Work with technical teams to estimate effort to complete tasks.
• Research appropriate data fields in credit systems, learn about various business processes, and document business rules.
• Data mapping exercise which could be straight through or derived and validate that the mapping is accurate to source.
• Develop test scenarios and perform internal validation prior to turning over to the End‑User team.
• Setup structured environment on Unix suitable for change control.
• Develop and support processes in SAS.
• Modify and migrate legacy code to change control environment.
• Create controls and ongoing monitoring reports.
• Problem resolution for reporting and SAS jobs.
• Extract data per specifications to create analytic datasets.
• Merge different types of data and work with time‑series data.
• Create and run ad hoc queries to answer urgent business questions.
• Maintain and enhance existing SAS processes.

• Bachelor's Degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology & Engineering, Computer Applications, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in a similar role such as Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer, BI Engineer, Project Associate, or related position.
• Experience with SAS/BASE, SAS/MACROS, SAS/SQL, SAS/STAT, SAS/CONNECT.
• Experience with Teradata, DB2, and Unix shell scripting.
• Requires travel/relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.
