Job Duties:
Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions and Ensure the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) is regularly maintained and released to production without any downtime. Architect config management and orchestration tools such as Chef, Puppet, BOSH and Terraform. Innovate using a thorough understanding of infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, networking, storage and cloud-based delivery models. Evaluate and enhance existing infrastructure using knowledge and expertise with networking and web standards such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, HTTP, web security mechanisms, proxies, firewalls & application delivery controllers.
Write technical documentation (platform architecture, strategy, engineering etc.). Use scripting and / or programming knowledge to optimize and innovate the existing and new infrastructure and container platform. Optimize and increase the effectiveness, reliability and performance of container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) by identifying and measuring key indicators, making changes to the production systems in an automated way and evaluating the results.
Assist development teams to migrate applications to Docker & cloud foundry based PaaS platform.
Job Requirements:
Require Bachelor's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable toward a Bachelor’s degree. Require two years of experience in job offered, Software Consultant, Software Developer, Software Engineer or related, using IBM Bluemix-Cloud Foundry, Vmware vSphere, docker, Bosh and Terraform. Require travel/relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the United States.
