Agile Project Manager (Hiring ASAP – Insurance Experience Preferred)

Location:

Edison, NJ | NYC or Hartford, CT (Hybrid role; must be local).

• Serves, leads, coaches, and supports multiple Agile Scrum Teams on complex initiatives with internal & external resources.
• Mandates product delivery.
• Facilitates Scrum ceremonies and agile practices such as daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and cross‑team coordination.
• Identifies and resolves delivery impediments to optimize flow.
• Resolves complex impediments and escalates unresolved issues to senior leadership.
• Manages risks and issues, enforcing preventive measures.
• Promotes an environment of continuous improvement, driving improvements through retrospectives.
• Guides team members to achieve maturity in Agile principles and Scrum practices, ensuring consistent velocity gains.
• Proactively monitors team health and project needs.
• Acts as an Agile subject‑matter expert, thought leader, and mentor with deep knowledge of Agile processes, tools, best practices, and standards.
• Provides guidance to junior Scrum Masters on Agile reviews and offers feedback on new tools/processes, championing adoption when approved.
• Contributes suggestions for maturing Agile teams through COE/COPs.
• Builds a strong team environment, fostering high morale and cohesion.
• Supports the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritization, including maintaining relevant metrics.
• Maintains strong relationships within the Agile team and coordinates interactions internally and externally.
• Creates a trusting and safe environment for team members, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
• Facilitates and manages conflict resolution within the team and key stakeholders, escalating serious conflicts to leadership.
• Promotes practices that ensure delivery of quality products, maintaining transparency around progress, quality, and schedule.
• Strong Product Development experience.
• Insurance experience and Azure Dev Ops (ADO) highly desired.

• Prior Agile Scrum methodology experience in a Scrum Master role.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, and servant‑leader leadership skills.
• Experience delivering modern enterprise software using Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• High organizational skills and proven experience with Agile tools such as Jira.
• Track record applying App Development best practices (automation, CI/CD pipelines).
• Proficiency with Jira Align, connecting strategy to execution, managing program‑level backlogs, and visualizing dependencies across Agile Release Trains.
• Applied AI literacy: understanding how AI/ML intersects with Agile delivery.
• Knowledge of AI‑enhanced platforms (Jira Automation, Git Hub Copilot, Lucid AI, Microsoft Copilot).
• Data‑informed decision making using AI‑generated insights.
• Experience coaching teams through AI‑driven practice adoption and continuous learning.

• Contract position based out of Edison, NJ.

• Pay range: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour.
