Technical Program Manager – AI Research
itD is seeking a Technical Program Manager – AI Research to oversee business-critical projects in the AI Research space, focusing on facilitating review and approval processes required to initiate and ship projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in technical program management, AI compliance reviews, stakeholder management, risk management, and data analysis
, with a proven ability to drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives in ambiguous environments.
Hybrid/Onsite – 3 days per week in Menlo Park, CA (MPK). Bay Area or San Francisco candidates may be considered for the right candidate.
Pay Rate:$45- $54 per hour

Responsibilities- Lead multiple project compliance reviews for frontier AI research initiatives, including requirements development, progress tracking, action-item management, and blocker resolution.
- Coordinate with requesters, engineering teams, research teams, reviewers, and privacy stakeholders to clarify requirements and streamline review and approval processes.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and escalations to ensure critical initiatives remain on schedule.
- Develop and deliver weekly project status reports covering progress, achievements, risks, dependencies, and review-process insights.
- Research, catalog, and annotate AI Research assets with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Analyze data and optimize workflows using advanced Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Monitor developments in AI research, compliance practices, and related tooling to identify opportunities for continuous process and project improvements.
- Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
- Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
- Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
- Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
- Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
- Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management and compliance reviews within a technology company.
- Experience working with AI compliance and/or compliance review processes.
- Experience in stakeholder management
, including influencing stakeholders, building consensus, and driving cross-functional alignment. - Strong ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, solve complex problems, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
