Director of Public Entity Insurance Administration

Role Overview

Brown & Brown is seeking a Director of Public Entity Insurance Administration to join our growing team in Parsippany, NJ. The role works with the Profit Center Leader, division producers, claims administration and support staff to place and service public entity accounts in a joint insurance fund administered by the profit center.

• Develop a full understanding of the regulations governing joint insurance funds in the State of New Jersey.
• Identify all markets and other alternative risk mechanisms for the placement of public entity business.
• Incorporate procedures required by alternative risk placements in servicing new and existing business.
• Identify risk exposures and applicable coverages using knowledge of public entity insurance.
• Compile and prepare marketing and underwriting data; condense material into Excel worksheets as required by carriers.
• Review quotations, policies, endorsements and audits for accuracy.
• Meet established time frames of reporting as required by State regulations governing joint insurance funds.
• Provide administrative services to the joint insurance fund in accordance with State regulations.
• Delegate specific assignments to support staff, monitor thoroughness and completion within given time frames.
• Assist support staff and producers with any service‑related matters.
• Attend meetings as required by the profit center manager.

Must have a current, valid NJ Property & Casualty insurance license and a high school certificate.

• Minimum of five years of public entity insurance experience or equivalent property and casualty experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional customer relation skills.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or management position.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pay Range: $ – $ per annum.
