Job Title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Edison, NJ
Pay: $80,000 - $100,000
A highly reputable pharmaceutical manufacturing company is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team! This role includes a large range of duties including but not limited to overseeing end‑to‑end supply chain operations, with a focus on pharmaceutical products, to ensure timely production, compliant distribution, and reliable product availability. This role collaborates closely with manufacturing, sales, quality, regulatory, and external partners to align demand and supply, optimize processes, and support strategic projects in a fast‑growing, financially stable organization.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure timely production, supply of products from manufacturers, and on‑time delivery, shipment, and release of finished goods.
- Work closely with manufacturing units to develop and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory requirements, and operational constraints.
- Lead and support Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) activities by collaborating with the sales team to gather market intelligence and integrate sales forecasts into operational planning.
- Align demand and supply plans to ensure product availability and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
- Ensure all supply chain processes comply with relevant industry regulations, including Good Distribution Practices and DSCSA, and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to facilitate efficient, compliant, and aligned operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement across the supply chain and implement solutions to enhance productivity, efficiency, and reliability.
- Manage relationships with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and other external partners to support forecasting, production planning, documentation, and continuous product availability.
- Assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of operational policies and procedures to standardize and strengthen supply chain practices.
- Support cross‑functional projects within the organization, contributing supply chain expertise and helping drive successful project execution.
- Use advanced Excel and inventory/ERP tools to perform data analysis, demand planning, and reporting to support decision‑making.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics and proactively address risks or issues that could impact service levels, compliance, or costs.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations, supply chain management, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Hands‑on experience with supply chain planning, including demand planning and forecasting.
- Strong exposure to pharmaceutical industry operations and requirements.
- Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements, including Good Distribution Practices and DSCSA.
- Proficiency in inventory management software or any ERP program used to manage supply chain and operations data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify and implement effective process improvements.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners such as CMOs.
- Experience working with global supply chains and supporting product launches.
- Background in Sales & Operations Planning (SOP) processes and tools.
- Experience in alliance or partner management within a pharmaceutical or related environment.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
- Interest in growing into a people management role as the organization continues to scale.
