About This Position

Keefe Group is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and career-driven professional to join our Northeast Regional Inventory team.

This position is ideal for someone if he enjoys solving problems, improving processes, analyzing data, and partnering with operations teams to drive results. The Northeast Regional Inventory Operations Lead plays a critical role in supporting inventory accuracy, operational discipline, training consistency, and process improvement across multiple facilities throughout the Northeast Region.

This is more than an inventory position. It is a developmental opportunity for an individual who wants to build a long-term career in supply chain, inventory management, and operations leadership. Essential Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management and Analysis
    • Manage and oversee cycle count programs for distribution centers, service centers, and onsite facilities.
    • Research, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies, transfer variances, and inventory control issues.
    • Review daily inventory exception reports and identify root causes of inventory inaccuracies.
    • Analyze inventory trends and recommend corrective actions that improve inventory performance.
    • Review and approve new item requests and vendor order adjustments.
    • Review regional out-of-stock reporting and work with internal partners to support product availability.
    • Support inventory audits and ensure compliance with established inventory control standards.
    • This role requires approximately 20% regional travel, typically involving quarterly visits to service centers, regional facilities and physical inventories.
  • Process Improvement and Training
    • Develop, maintain, and audit inventory-related Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Train and support regional inventory personnel on inventory control best practices.
    • Promote consistency across all regional locations through standardized training and execution.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline inventory processes and reduce recurring errors.
  • Physical Inventory Support
    • Plan, coordinate, and assist with annual physical inventories throughout the region.
    • Help prepare regional teams for successful physical inventory execution.
    • Provide post-inventory analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Regional Operational Support
    • Serve as an inventory liaison between regional facilities, operations leadership, and corporate support teams.
    • Review and report product loss, donated inventory, discarded inventory, and liquidation activity.
    • Assist with special projects, including inventory analysis, holiday kit programs, new location start-ups, and operational improvement initiatives.
    • Support regional facilities with inventory-related questions, reporting, follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Data Analysis and Project Leadership
    • Use data and reporting tools to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
    • Lead inventory-related projects from planning through execution.
    • Track trends, communicate findings, and recommend practical solutions.
    • Support initiatives designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, consistency, and customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory control, inventory analysis, warehouse operations, supply chain, or operations support.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
