Engineer​/Maintenance; Position

Seeking a reliable individual who enjoys working in a team environment to join our team as a Hotel Engineer. The maintains the physical functionality and safety of the hotel including, but not limited to, guest rooms, public areas and employee areas.

• Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work, masonry, furnishings and fixtures, wall coverings, window repairs, etc.
• Conduct inspections and maintain for preventive maintenance needs.
• Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures, including location of all emergency shut-offs.
• Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
• Maintain the guest room preventative maintenance program and consistently keep updated records.

• Availability to work all shifts, also must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Strong understanding of the technologies used and required.
• React quickly in emergency situations, making sound decisions.
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Able to operate safely & responsibly heavy machinery.
• Saflok knowledge a plus.

Degree a plus. Combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant training, or on-the job training required.

Previous hotel engineering experience a plus.
