Cornerstone Search Group has been retained by a well-funded cardiovascular-focused biotech with a multi-asset, clinical-stage pipeline focused on diseases with no approved drug treatments. This newly created Vice President role reports into the C‑Suite and will define and drive product strategy end-to-end across the firm’s entire portfolio. Working across the Regulatory, Clin Dev, Med Affairs, Commercial, and BD functions, you and your team will establish product visions, value propositions, differentiated positioning, and lifecycle strategies with the goal of maximizing each asset’s patient impact and long‑term value.

While many pre‑commercial biotechs still struggle with funding, our client has raised significant capital due to the leadership team’s very successful biotech track record and the company’s exciting pipeline - Exciting Pipeline: multiple asset clinical‑stage pipeline for cardiovascular diseases with no FDA‑approved treatments
- Direct reports – Manage and mentor Product Strategy Asset Leads and other direct reports.
- Strategic advisor to the C‑suite on product and portfolio‑level decisions. Develop recommendations for program‑related investments such as new indications and formulations.
- You and your team will lead the development and evolution of integrated product strategies across all company assets from early clinical stage through lifecycle management. This includes: (a) defining TPPs, value props, and differentiation strategies; (b) partnering with Clin Dev and Med Affairs on trial design, endpoints, and evidence generation activities; (c) collaborating with Regulatory and Market Access on approval pathway strategies, pricing considerations, and reimbursement dynamics;
and (d) leading CI and market landscaping activities to inform your strategies. - Create and own the overall cross‑functional launch plans
New Jersey (commutable from most areas of New Jersey and Pennsylvania where pharma professionals tend to live)
Compensation:Competitive base salary, annual bonus, and an aggressive equity program
Desired Skills/ Qualifications / Experiences / Behaviors:- 10-15 years of relevant pharma/biotech experience which may include strategic pharma consulting firm experience
- Prior experience leading product strategy across clinical development stages
- Launch experience is preferred
- Prior involvement with launch planning, P&R planning, and developing evidence generation strategy.
- Cardiovasuclar-related experience is a plus
- Comfortable with being a player‑coach. This is not just a manager role - you will have hands‑on operational responsibility too.
- Prior direct experience is a plus
- High EQ coupled with persuasive communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Flexibility to travel as needed
