Supervisory National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Specialty Assets EIC)

As a Supervisory National Bank Examiner/Bank Examiner (Specialty Assets EIC), you will:

Identify issues and system risks and present those issues and recommend solutions to peers, the ADCs, and DC for Specialty Assets and Complex Trust Supervision, and other OCC senior supervision officials.

Coordinate with RMFI examiners-in-charge (EICs), and the ADCs overseeing Specialty Assets to develop systems and programs that focus on achieving the OCC's goals and priorities.

Develop and implement a strategy for the assigned institution that reflect changes in the economic and regulatory environment; issues common to the Specialty Asset portfolio, changes within the institution, and assessment of the risks assumed by the institution, and regulatory response. Assess emerging businesses and risks, new products or services.

Lead, motivate, and develop a staff of employees, considering the needs of the OCC and career development goals of individuals. Monitor the progress of assignments and evaluate training/developmental needs. Assess, evaluate, and provide input to performance evaluations. Recommend personnel decisions regarding hiring, promotions, adverse action, etc.

Oversee the quality of reports of examination and correspondence for the assigned banking company and provides input to licensing and legal issues. Serve as the OCC's primary communication link with senior bank management, the board of directors, and its committees to discuss bank conditions, regulatory, and environmental issues, and negotiate supervisory matters of complex and/or controversial nature.

Assign risk areas to appropriate personnel and direct, review and evaluate the work of assigned personnel. Ensure effective use of human and financial resources and compliance with priority exam schedules and deadlines.
