A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Training Specialist to lead workforce development initiatives across production operations. This role is responsible for developing and delivering practical training programs that improve safety, productivity, quality, and employee performance within a fast‑paced industrial environment. The position works closely with operations, quality, maintenance, and safety teams to ensure employees are properly trained, qualified, and supported through onboarding, ongoing development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Develop and coordinate manufacturing training programs for production employees across multiple departments and shifts
- Conduct hands‑on floor training, coaching, demonstrations, and structured on‑the‑job instruction for operators, machine assistants, technicians, and warehouse personnel
- Build and maintain training schedules, certification tracking, skills matrices, and qualification records
- Partner with leadership, quality, maintenance, and safety teams to identify training gaps and implement improvement plans
- Support onboarding and ramp‑up training for new hires to ensure safe and productive integration into operations
- Create and update training documentation including SOPs, work instructions, presentations, visual aids, and learning materials
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to document training activity, certifications, and employee progress
- Evaluate employee competency through assessments, hands‑on demonstrations, coaching observations, and performance reviews
- Reinforce workplace safety procedures including PPE usage, lockout/tagout practices, GMP standards, and quality expectations
- Lead and mentor internal trainers and floor coaches to ensure consistent training delivery across departments
- Track and report key training and operational metrics including certification completion, safety performance, quality improvements, and productivity goals
- Assist with audit preparation and maintain training records to support regulatory and quality compliance requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on operational efficiency, employee development, and process standardization
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing training, industrial operations, workforce development, or production leadership
- Experience training machine operators, production employees, technicians, or warehouse personnel in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and industrial safety practices
- Experience developing training programs, onboarding processes, SOPs, and competency evaluations
- Proficiency using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to lead classroom instruction as well as hands‑on production floor training
- Excellent communication, coaching, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and employee development
- Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments, GMP standards, ISO systems, or food safety programs is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are beneficial but not required
- Comfortable working on the production floor for extended periods and supporting occasional off‑shift training needs
