Staff Management Group is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• Mon-Thu: 7am-4:30pm AND Fri: 7am-11am.
• Hours subject to change based upon business needs.
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $18 - $19 / hour

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Lite Manufacturing Assembler to join our Edison, NJ team. This role will be responsible for the safe operation of various machines and equipment involved in production. You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we launch our facility in Edison, NJ.

Job Responsibilities:

• Component Assembly:
  Fit, fasten, or glue parts together using hand tools, fixtures, or automated equipment based on standardized assembly sequences.
• Blueprint Reading:
  Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure products meet exact tolerances.
• Quality Control:
  Perform visual inspections and operational tests on assembled parts to identify defects or missing components.
• Material Handling:
  Retrieve, stage, and organize parts and subassemblies, notifying supervisors of low inventory or malfunctioning equipment.
• Workplace Safety:
  Maintain a clean, hazard-free workstation, comply with all safety policies, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Requirements:

• Manual Dexterity:
  High level of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to manipulate small or delicate parts.
• Basic Math
  
  Skills:
  
  Ability to read measurements (like a tape measure or calipers) and calculate dimensions.
• Physical Stamina:
  Capacity to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 35 to 50 pounds.
• Attention to Detail:
  Ability to spot minor assembly errors and adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Teamwork:
  Willingness to collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet daily production quotas.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of related experience required.
• Completion of on-the-job training may be substituted for educational requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
