A well-established food manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of approximately 25 employees in a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and employee performance while ensuring daily operations run efficiently and customer expectations are met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and creating a culture of accountability on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise production personnel to ensure efficient daily operations
- Maintain product quality standards and verify compliance with food safety and company procedures
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility
- Complete and review daily production and quality documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Utilize internal systems to create and track maintenance work orders
- Participate in plant testing activities, coordinating labor and raw materials required for successful execution
- Monitor test results and communicate findings to appropriate departments
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Train, coach, and develop production employees
- Drive accountability and performance while fostering a positive team environment
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience supervising production employees
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production operations
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
- ERP system experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift schedule:
- Thursday-Saturday (5:00 PM-5:00 AM)
- Ability to complete approximately 6-8 weeks of training on day shift
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience
- Bakery manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting food safety and quality initiatives
- Familiarity with automated production equipment and manufacturing systems
