Serving under the New Jersey State and National portfolio, our program tackles economic hardships at the community level. This role is a Full-Time, 1700-hour Ameri Corps position requiring 40 hours per week of on-site service over a 43-week term. Volunteers serve at the non-profit to expand operational capacity, improve service delivery and build long-term community resilience.
Member Duties :Volunteers will be responsible for assessing participants, analysis of eligibility for participant benefits or programs, facilitating referrals and providing follow up. Following a financial literacy assessment clients receive assistance with budgeting, savings- and credit-building via workshops and 1:1 sessions. Participants with employment goals receive guidance regarding interview readiness, resume writing and job applications.
