Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Overview

Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Full Time Days at JFK University Medical Center, Edison, New Jersey.

• Deliver nursing care according to the most up-to-date evidence-based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, plan of care, implementation, and evaluation for a variety of complex patients; coordinate care with nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; collect data, identify changes in patient status, and address patient/family education needs.
• Develop and coordinate age- and disease-specific care plans; ensure patient/family-centered goals and continuum of care.
• Communicate and coordinate with patients, families, and health care team; provide patient/family education and ensure understanding.
• Document assessments, plan of care, interventions, and evaluations; utilize electronic documentation and medication administration systems.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe transition and continuity of care.
• Adhere to organizational competencies, standards of behavior, and nursing professional codes.

• Identify ethical issues and opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Maintain competencies, certifications, and continuing education required for facility accreditation or licensure.
• Comply with American Nurses Association Code for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
• Meet physical requirements as applicable to the role.
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

• Education:
  
  Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN in progress or willingness to obtain within three years of hire (policy details may apply).
• Experience:
  
  Six months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency Program.
• Licenses &
  
  Certifications:
  
  Current and valid registered nurse license; BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Skills:
  
  Ability to learn quickly, strong teamwork, patient-focused care, and commitment to ongoing education.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

• Current RN license to work at the specified HMH location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.

• Minimum rate of $45.73 hourly (base pay; final offer may vary).
