The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their knowledge and skills while coordinating care among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.

• Location: Edison, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full‑time, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Formulate age and disease specific patient/family centered goals/outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

Education:

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.

Experience:

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
