Registered Nurse - Bariatrics - Nights

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and coordinating care among various healthcare providers.

• Location: Edison, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients/families and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
