Registered Nurse - Pediatrics - Nights

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Pediatrics provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. This role is ideal for those looking to expand their nursing skills while working as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Location: Edison, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them.

Education:

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire

Experience:

• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program

Licenses &

Certifications:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
