Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Overflow

Registered Nurse – PCU 4 (Full Time)

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset, Kentucky

Full Time | Days 6:30-7:00 | Rotating Weekends

Commitment Bonus: $15,000 for a two-year commitment

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care and monitor patient condition, communicating with the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Coordinate patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
  • Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (required); bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred).
  • Current RN license in the state of practice.
  • BCLS required.
  • ACLS and PALS required.
  • Handle with Care preferred.
