Patient Care Technician - Per Diem, Shift, Observation CD

Job Description

Responsible for assisting doctors and nursing staff to ensure patients' basic needs are met. Daily tasks include feeding, cleaning, monitoring vital signs, and overall health care.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assist patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges, ROM activities
• Perform post‑mortem care
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring
• Observe and report changes in patients’ condition to the RN
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned

• HS Diploma or equivalent

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patient, compassionate nature
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in computer‑based data management programs and information systems
