Registered Nurse (PICC) - Vascular Access - Per Diem Days

About This Role

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who excel in coordinating patient care and overseeing the activities of other caregivers.

• Location: Edison, NJ
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessment/data collection independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program.

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in NJ.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
