Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

The Nurse Manager is responsible for leading high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department, ensuring compliance with regulations and overseeing daily operations. This role is ideal for a dedicated nursing professional with strong leadership skills and a focus on patient care.

• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift

• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care and goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations and ensure team knowledge of emergency/disaster response policies.
• Monitor nursing standards of practice for compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Develop and evaluate budgetary and financial priorities related to patient care.
• Promote cost-effective use of organizational resources and manage staffing plans.
• Demonstrate leadership by establishing supportive partnerships and effective communication.
• Supervise and monitor educational programs and evidence-based practice.
• Support the Magnet Program by ensuring shared governance and data collection.
• Prioritize organizational goals and lead performance improvement initiatives.
• Professionally review complaints and follow up with appropriate departments.

• BSN required.

• 3+ years' experience as a Registered Nurse required.
• 3+ years' progressive leadership experience preferred.

• Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
