Nursing Laboratory Assistant Responsibilities

• Director of Nursing Programs. Support the Lab Coordinator, Lab Staff, and Nursing Faculty.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.
• Prepares and cleans up the college nursing laboratories for scheduled lab classes.
• Cleans and maintains lab equipment including manikins and models.
• Orders and maintains laboratory supplies, maintains par levels and communicates with vendors for estimates/quotes, and informs the laboratory coordinator of needs.
• Organizes and maintains laboratory environment to ensure all equipment is in working order.
• Maintains simulation equipment and hardware warranties.
• Updates Pyxis and prepares simulated medications for use in skills lab.
• Tracks open lab hours for nursing students enrolled in CCC nursing courses in coordination with the CTE coach.
• Assists simulation faculty/teaching administrators in preparation for and during scheduled simulation exercises.
• Provides general assistance to the success of laboratory offerings in all Camden County College nursing courses.
• Works a flexible schedule, including day and evening hours.
• Travels between the Joint Health Sciences Center in Camden, NJ and Blackwood, NJ.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and Director.

• Standing and bending constantly for a minimum of three hours per day.
• Sitting for up to five hours per day.
• Light lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Standing on a ladder and reaching above the head.
• Availability for travel between campus locations on a regular basis.

• Certification in a health-related field or Associate in Science (AS) required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Computer competencies including Microsoft Office, Canvas, Electronic Health Records, and Google Suite.
