Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Responsibilities include developing and coordinating individualized care plans, performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and advocating for evidence-based practices.

The RN provides patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of mother-baby experience required.
• Experience caring for newborns.
• Competent in managing higher acuity infants 32 weeks and above.
• Competent in stabilizing infants less than 32 weeks.
• ASN degree.
• BLS certification (must be AHA).
• NRP certification.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree.

Additional Information:

• Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, every other weekend as needed, no on-call, 3x12s.
• Must have at least one year of experience in a level two Special Care Nursery (SCN).
• No floating unless taking babies on postpartum.
• Level 2 Special Care Nursery, 32 weeks and above.
