Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery - Per Diem

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Same Day Surgery provides direct patient care and coordinates activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This per diem position is ideal for those looking to expand their skills in a dynamic surgical environment.

• Pay: $46 - $46/hour
• Location: Edison, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Administer medications utilizing bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting.
• Adhere to HMH's Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.

• Education:
  • Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
  • BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire
• Experience:
  • Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Nurse Residency Program

  • Current RN License in New Jersey
  • BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire
