Join the leader in Environment Testing. Eurofins Environment Testing offers a full‑time, entry‑level laboratory technician role with benefits.

Shift & Hours

Full time – Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with overtime available.

Compensation

$17.50 per hour plus a 15 % shift differential, effective day 1, equaling $20.13 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
  • Perform sample preparation, which may include the following methods:
    • Aliquot samples
    • Spike and trace samples
    • Prepare reagents
    • Bottle samples
    • Prepare concentrations
    • Separation
    • Sonication
    • Liquid rack set up
  • Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure accurate sample labeling.
  • Prepare general laboratory paperwork, including recording results, tracking samples, and maintaining bench sheets and logbooks.
  • Wash laboratory glassware for the next day’s samples.
  • Stock laboratory supplies.
  • Clean work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assist other laboratory areas as needed.
Ability and/or Skills
  • General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoys instrument troubleshooting.
  • Flexible schedule; 8‑hour shift may become 12 hours during busy season.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Production work experience.
  • Great organizational skills.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Education:

    High school with Chemistry coursework; basic laboratory experience.
  • Experience:

    Laboratory experience helpful; previous production‑oriented work helpful.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lb frequently, up to 50 lb occasionally.
  • Applicants with a BA or BS, or without a college degree, are welcome.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting up to 50 lb and carrying up to 30 lb when moving samples and disposing of waste.
  • Pushing and pulling up to 200 lb when moving sample carts and gas tanks.
  • Approximately 60 % of time standing, 10 % walking, 30 % sitting; must stay standing, stooping, or crouching for long periods.
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching when handling samples.
  • Handling odors for unusual contamination.
  • Using hands for handling samples, operating instruments, and data entry.
  • Conversational hearing and speaking ability.
  • Vision to view computer screens and paperwork.

Compensation range is informational; actual salary may vary based on experience, skill set, internal peer base salary, business sector, and geography.
