Edison Branch | Compensation: 80,000 Annually plus Commission

Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We proudly distribute the Mitsubishi and Bryant brands of HVAC equipment, as well as a full line of HVAC residential and commercial parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, New York, and New Jersey. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Manager to support our Edison, NJ branch.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor or by phone.
  • Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features.
  • Negotiate pricing based on what the market will bear while maintaining profit goals of the company.
  • Achieve or exceed territory sales budget as well as contributing additional sales to help achieve overall regional sales budgets.
  • Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's delivery schedules.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts.
  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts along with providing information to help set usage levels.
  • Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries and products.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
