Our client is a premier manufacturer/distributor in the building products industry, and they are searching for an experienced Sales Director to lead a team of Outside Sales Representatives in the flooring/counter top industry based out of their Edison, NJ location.
The Sales Director is responsible to grow and develop the sales and margins of the company’s product lines with the retailer/dealer network.
Position will spend 3 days in the field and 2 days in the office.
Position covers all of NJ, Manhattan, and 5 boroughs.
- Develop relationships with current customers and potential customers within specific territory.
- Travel, coach and supervise Outside Sales Reps.
- Product Training.
- Quote prices, discuss credit terms and prepare sales contracts for customer orders
- 5+ years Building Materials Sales experience.
- Experience selling natural stone, tile or hard flooring industries strongly preferred.
- 2+ years managing an Outside Sales team.
- 5+ years product training experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or college coursework preferred.
