Our client
—a leading global producer of premium vinegars and specialty condiments with over 130 years of artisanal expertise is searching for a Food service Sales Manager to join their team. This individual will play a pivotal role in expanding the presence of a high-quality, heritage-rich product line within the food service industry across the United States.
The role is based in Totowa, NJ
, and offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with a remote arrangement also possible for the right candidate
. The position requires up to 50% travel nationwide to attend trade shows, distributor meetings, and customer visits.
- Lead food service sales efforts for the Brand.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of distributor and operator accounts.
- Identify new sales opportunities through market research and relationship building with chefs, restaurateurs, and food service professionals.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans, setting monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer meetings, presentations, and product trainings to build brand engagement and loyalty.
- Negotiate and manage pricing structures and contracts with key distributors and operators.
- Track KPIs and deliver detailed reporting on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity.
- Represent the brand at key trade shows and distributor events across the U.S.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in food service sales
, preferably with premium or specialty food brands. - Proven track record in growing national food service accounts and distributor relationships
. - Understanding of U.S. food service channels
, including broadline, specialty, and regional distributors. - Ability to plan and execute national sales strategies
, with strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in client-facing presentations.
- Experience using CRM tools and sales tracking software.
- Passion for premium food products and authentic culinary traditions.
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time across the country.
- Culinary or chef background, or hands-on experience engaging with chefs and culinary teams.
- Familiarity with key players in the fine dining, hotel, and specialty retail sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and expand a portfolio of high-value accounts.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen—able to assess margins, pricing structures, and growth opportunities.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, logistics, and operations.
