The Laboratory Technician I uses general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with Eurofins Environment Testing America’s Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures. The role supports laboratory operations through general maintenance of laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Shift & HoursFull time – Wednesday to Sunday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed and required.
Compensation$17.50 per hour plus a 15% shift differential effective day 1, equal to $20.13 per hour.
Entry Level Eligibility- This is an entry‑level position for those interested in starting a career in a laboratory setting. A college degree is not required.
- Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis.
- Perform sample preparation, which may include, but is not limited to, a combination of the following methods:
- Aliquot samples
- Spike and trace samples
- Prepare reagents
- Bottle samples
- Prepare concentrations
- Separation
- Sonication
- Liquid rack set up
- Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled.
- Prepare general laboratory paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
- Wash laboratory glassware to prepare for the next day’s samples.
- Stock laboratory supplies.
- Clean work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist other laboratory areas as needed.
- General knowledge of chemistry and/or general science.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
- Mechanically inclined and enjoys instrument troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule; 8‑hour shift may become 12‑hour shift in busy season.

- High school education with chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience.
- Laboratory experience helpful; previous production‑oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines).
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Candidates with a BA or BS or without a college degree will excel in this position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds when moving samples and disposing of waste.
- Push and pull up to 200 pounds when moving sample carts and gas tanks.
- Approximately 60% of the time standing when analyzing samples, 10% walking when moving about laboratory, and 30% sitting when working at computer, doing paperwork, or analyzing samples.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or stoop for long periods of time.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching when getting samples and performing analyses.

Handling samples, operating instruments, data entry. - Hearing:
