Entry Level-Lab Technician (Weds-Sun), Eurofins Environment Testing Northeast, Edison NJ

Position Type: Full-time

Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50 hourly; 15% shift differential on Wednesday-Sunday 12:00pm-9:00pm; full benefits.

• Perform routine lab tasks: preparation of samples, chemical analysis, calculation and reporting of data, instrument maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with EHS and QA standards.
• Maintain work area housekeeping.
• Progress training on complex instrumentation such as gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP and instrument data systems.

• Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
• Aliquot and weigh samples.
• Wash glassware.

• High school diploma with chemistry coursework; basic laboratory experience.
• Laboratory experience helpful; previous production-oriented work helpful.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license without recent incident.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Organic preparation
• Metals preparation and analysis
• Gas chromatography
• GC/MS
• Radio chemistry
• Wet chemistry
• High resolution preparation and analysis
• Low resolution preparation and analysis

• Lift up to 50 pounds; carry up to 30 pounds.
• Pushing/pulling up to 200 pounds.
• Approximately 60% standing, 10% walking, 30% sitting.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching required.
• Smell for unusual odors, leakage, contamination.
• Conversational hearing and speaking ability; vision for analyses.
• Ability to sit, stand, or stoop for long periods.
