In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service.

PSOs represent the front line of our security services.

• Current and valid DL
• High school diploma or GED
• (1) year experience in armed security recommended
• Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Extensive use of force knowledge
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

• Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, combed professional appearance
• Beards are not permitted. Mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed and must not extend down onto the upper lip area or down the sides past the junction of the upper and lower lip lines. Mustaches will not extend beyond the corner of the mouth more than 3/8 th inch. Handlebars are not allowed.
• Officer’s fingernails shall not extend more than ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or interfere in any way with the performance of duty or with the safe drawing of issued equipment. Fingernail polish is allowed if it does not distract from the uniform.
