Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) work in demanding and fast‑paced environments, including medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. PSOs may be asked to work with a firearm. The mission is to protect all people, information, and property assigned while delivering high‑end customer service. PSOs represent the front line of our security services.

• Current and valid DL
• High school diploma or GED
• (1) year experience in armed security recommended
• Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Reliable transportation
• Extensive use of force knowledge
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

• Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearance
• Beards not permitted. Mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed. Mustaches may not extend down onto the upper lip area or down sides past the juncture of the upper and lower lip lines. Mustaches will not extend beyond the corner of the mouth more than 3/8 inch. Handlebars not allowed.
• Officer’s fingernails shall not extend more than ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or interfere in any ways in the performance of duty or with the safe drawing of issued equipment. Fingernail polish allowed if it does not distract from the uniform.
