Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, offers a key opportunity as a Trimmer in Utility Line Clearance.

• Provide line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal, and remove broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
• Maintain, prepare and operate tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operate as part of a crew with supporting Groundman and Crew Foreman.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Commercial driver’s license with airbrake endorsement (required).
• Completion of Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Certificates and licenses as necessary (pesticide license if required by state law, line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines).
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience (required).
