Overview
Founded in 1890 as the Hillside Tennis Club, Plainfield Country Club has enjoyed a revered reputation among families and golf enthusiasts alike. The main course was designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1921. Sports facilities also include a new Golf Performance Center, expansive racquets facility, aquatics center and the West Nine golf course. PCC prides itself as a Family Country Club with World Class Golf .
Career advancement of our loyal team members is a priority in every department.
An extensive course restoration/renovation was completed under the direction of architect Gil Hanse. The golf course is regularly ranked in the Top 100 Courses in the U.S. by Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Golfweek.
Giving back and hosting Championships is a priority for PCC. Its history includes the 1978 U.S. Amateur, 1987 U.S. Women's Open, 2011 & 2015 PGA Tour Fed Ex Cup Playoff events, 2017 Junior President's Cup and 2025 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball. Acting as the host of PGA Tour events generated millions of dollars for local charities, including PCC's First Tee of Plainfield program.
PCC is the first private country club in the US to start and operate a First Tee program on its property.

Essential ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Golf Professional assists the Director of Golf with the management of day-to-day golf operations. All duties of the position are performed with a commitment to the highest level of customer service to ensure an exceptional golf experience.
This position will report directly to Plainfield Country Club's PGA Director of Golf, Scott Paris.
